Talk about the characters—are any of them likable? Do you develop sympathy for anyone in particular: put another way, are some more sympathic than others? Why might Christie have put together such an unpleasant cast of characters?

I think that Philip Lombard is a good character because when his crimes he committed gets brought up, he admits to doing them instead of denying it like the others do. Christie may have put together such a unpleasant cast of characters to keep suspense going and to keep the readers hooked on what is happening or what they think is going to happen. Also to keep the reader not knowing who the killer really is.

I like Vera Claythorne. I have developed sympathy for her because I don't think she meant to let the little boy drown. She has a good head on her shoulders and I think she will be one of the last ones to die during this game. Christie might have put together such an unpleasant cast of characters because it makes the book better and creates a lot of questions for the reader. With such an unpleasant cast she can have the reader wondering who the murderer really is.

I have developed sympathy for Mr. Rogers, because he has to live with these people that he just met and worry about which one killed his wife.He also has to do everything around the island because his wife is gone now. He is getting accused of giving his wife something to drink to poison her. Also he is the only one who is noticing the figurines missing from the tables. I think Christi put these characters together because they all have different personalities to make the story more interesting and to make you wonder who the killer is.

I like Mr.Rogers because he has to decide who killed him wifeand worry about which one of them did i. If I was Mr.Rogers I would be asking a lot of questions and trying to figure out who has killed the wife and why they did it. Maybe the wife did something bad or something and maybe died because she had fear that she was going to die anyways for what she had done. It could be possible that something health related could of killed her.

I agree with Kaitlyn on this one. Vera Clayt horne shouldn't be at fault for this, it's not her fault she didn't make it to the kid on time. So many people have blamed her on it to the point she doesn't know what to think. The poor girl lost the love of her life and that child all on the same day. I believe she needs a little sympathy and not all this hatred. She just wants to have a fresh start.

I agree with Kaitlyn about Vera clay Thorne because she is not around the kids all the time and she never knows what is going to happen . Stuff happens every day in life if we want it to happen or not . She shouldn't be blamed . She put these cast members together so it wouldn't be easy to figure out the clues and who done the killings right off the bat she wanted to lead them on with one person and then it was really another.

I agree with Anna on this one. I feel sympathy for Mr. Rogers considering that he has to live with strangers knowing one of them had killed his wife. I believe that Christie had put this unpleasant group of characters together in this novel in order to create mystery. She makes everyone have a shady past so we are unable to guess who could possibly do these murders. It is truly a mystery.

I agree with Makayla and kaitlyn. It was not Vera claythrone's fault for the little boys death. Kids are crazy and you can't always control their actions. I think she put such an unpleasant cast of characters to make us confused and keep thinking someone is the murderer when there not. It's also kind of interesting that they have all comitted the same crime so that just kind of adds to the suspense.

I agree with Karen and kaitlyn! Vera didn't mean to let the little boy drown and personally I feel bad for her because she is getting all kinds of grief about it but in all reality I don't think it was her fault that she couldn't get to him!
